Mrs. Maria Angelica Mendez, age 28, of Glenwood died early Sunday morning, March 23, 2014 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Mendez is a native of Mexico and had lived in Glenwood since 2000.  She was a homemaker and Catholic by Faith.

Mrs. Mendez is survived by her husband, Manuel C. Martinez of Glenwood; two sons, Carlos and Hector Martinez, both of Glenwood; her father, Gaudencio Mendez of Mexico; three brothers, Andres, Benito and Felimon Mendez, all of Mexico; and one sister, Berta Mendez of Mexico.

The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Maria Angelica Mendez will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Ben Dallas officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon beginning at 1:00 PM with a Rosary Service scheduled at 7:00 PM.
