Fri May 26, 2017 What a loss for our community!  Calvin was one of the finest men I've ever known. His family's love and admiration for him speaks volumes about his character & their lives show what a wonderful Daddy he was to them. Juanice has been his love & support all of these years; they were a couple who exemplified what a Godly marriage means. God bless you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We will be going to Atlanta on Sunday because our oldest grandson, Jake is graduating from high school in Cumming on Tuesday night.  We are so sorry that we will be unable to attend the funeral as well as visitation.  Please know that we will be praying for each of you during this time. Much love.....

Tue May 30, 2017 We are so sorry to hear about Brother Calvin's passing. We learned about it when we returned home from a holiday vacation trip. Brother Calvin was an inspiration to the community, in business, education and, most of all, his Christian testimony. We will miss him.

Tue May 30, 2017 Our community has lost a great man. His influence and service will be felt and remembered for a long time. I will always treasure the memories of 1970 when he, my Daddy,  and several other dedicated servants founded Robert Toombs Christian Academy. He continued to work and lead the school for many years. His smile, his kindness, and his beautiful voice stand out in my mind. We had so much fun doing the Hee Haw shows back in the early years of RTCA. Mr. Calvin left a fine legacy in the outstanding family he raised. God bless you all, and may your precious memories give you comfort in the future. Love and prayers to you all.

We celebrate his beautiful life in Jesus and will remember (Jack Matthews)best-friend for all of life! So many great memories of the Matthews/Vaughn family eating, swimming in the pool, playing and singing around the piano. But most of all reading the word of God written on the walls in the Kitchen and studying the Bible together. Thanks for the memories and the bond of love between our families.
