Ms Geri Was a living person. Always had a smile on her face and always treated me well. Geri husband Jr is my cousin. Jr’s dad and my grandfather were brothers. I didn’t spend as much time with her as I would
Of like to but she was a very sweet and loving woman. I’m here if the family needs me.

Geraldine had a very outgoing personality. She was always smiling and very independent. The church family will certainly miss her. At her age and energy she was still going and doing. We will miss you!!

I was saddened to hear about the passing of Gerrie. She was always a special person. She worked at Ailey with my mother. Mama and I often went over to visit Junior and Gerrie. I am praying for the family.

Geraldine Mead was a joy to know! Her smile brightened many a Sunday for me. I admired her spunk & determination to keep on keeping on, being as independent as she possibly could be. She was the last member of her family who sat together in church. Now, that pew will be empty, but I’ll still picture her there. She loved her church & her McGregor church family & we loved her. RIP my friend. Although I won’t be physically at your service, I’ll be there in spirit. You will not be forgotten!

Geraldine was one of my favorite cousins since early childhood and she will always hold a special place in my heart! When one thinks of a true southern lady, Geraldine fit the bill! I will truly miss visiting her when I would come to Mt. Vernon which wasn't too often, especially since the covid-19. I know you are truly with our Lord, Jesus Christ! Rest in Peace Geraldine!

My mother and Daddy (Charles & Doris Fortson) were friends of Geri & Jr. for years and years - Dad and Jr. served together in the Army. My mom had been calling Geri and was concerned when the # was disconnected. We are heartbroken to find out about her death. Please know our hearts hurt but we celebrate her life and know we will all meet again.
