Mr. Alvin Holton Jr., age 77, of Lyons, (Five Points Community), died peacefully Wednesday afternoon May 6th, 2020 at home surrounded by his loved ones, after an extended illness. Alvin was a native and lifelong resident of the Five Points Community.  Alvin was a farmer and a retired lieutenant with the Montgomery State Prison System.  Alvin was a member of the Marietta Freewill Baptist Church.

Alvin is preceded in death by both parents Alvin and Cassie Holton; one brother Orland Holton, and one sister Ila Holton.

Alvin is survived by his beautiful and loving wife, Margaret Holton of Five Points Community; one son, Glen “Cindy”  Holton of Five Points;  two daughters,  Sharon “Rod” Pye of Brooklet, Debra “Melvin” Nunn of Stillmore; one brother, Hilton Holton of Wrightsville; one sister, Mila Holton of Mableton, GA; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Lori, Chelsey, Caleb, Madison, Macy, Isaac, and Seth. Nine great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside Services for Mr. Alvin Holton Jr. will be held Friday May 8th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ken Murphy and Reverend Irvin Murphy officiating.

Interment will follow.

May God surround you Glen and Ms. Margaret and help you all through the loss of Mr Alvie . He was one of a kind and as good as gold . Margaret, Glen and Family, I am sad to loose such a dear and sweet man. Having known him makes my life richer. I know you all have many happy memories with him. Cherish each one and comfort each other. May God give you the strength you will need going forward. I love you all.
