Mrs. Alice Katherine Waterloo, age 75, of Orange City FL, went home to be with our Lord & Savior on December 13, 2019.  Alice, a native of Charleston SC was born July 10, 1944, and relocated to Florida as a child with her parents and remained a lifelong resident there. Alice retired from General Electric Company in Dayton Beach FL, as a wiring and soldering technician which led her to working on the space program for NASA.  This was her crowning achievement in life.  Alice was outgoing and often referred to as a daredevil with an ATV, also loved bowling, reading, and had a passion for singing.  Alice was a excellent cook and loved cooking and spending time with her family.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

 

Alice is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Waterloo, her parents, James and Flossie Leonard, one sister, Audrey McCure, and one brother Sam Leonard.

 

Alice is survived by three daughters, Cynthia L. Leonard, Bobbi Jo Hammontree, and Angela L. Waterloo, one brother Jim (Jackie) Leonard, one sister-in-law Marie Leonard, six grandchildren Ricky Leonard and Fiancé Rachel, Robert (Keisha) Hallock, Rory(Tonya) Leonard, Julie, Lacey and Brandon Wheeler, and six great-grandchildren Peyton, Gabe, Desmond, Declan, Rylan, and Jaxson.  Numerous nieces and nephews, two fur grand pets Daphne, and Capone and her dear sweet friend Karen Amici, also survive.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Katherine Waterloo were held Thursday December 19, 2019 at Lankford Funeral Home Chapel in Orange City FL.

 

Interment will be held Saturday December 22, 2019 at 1:00 PM in Soperton GA, at the Phillips Family Cemetery.

 

Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service, Vidalia Chapel will be in charge of arrangements.
