Mr. John Davenport, age 75 of Vidalia died Saturday afternoon, November 16, 2019 at his residence after an extended illness. John was a native of South Carolina and had resided in Vidalia for the past 10 years. He was a retired sales manager in the auto industry. He served in the United States Airforce and was Weselyn By Faith.

 

John is survived by his wife, Barbara Davenport of Vidalia; two sons, Sean Davenport of Rockford Ill., and Wayne Fields of Anderson S.C.; two daughters, Siobain Daughenbaugh and Shannon Davenport, both of Rockford Ill.; and seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Mamo, Paul Fields, Shawna Wiggep, Austin Daughenbaugh, Taelor Davenport, Jaden Davenport and Savannah Mitchell. One great-grandchild, Graysen Wiggep also survives.

 

Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. John Davenport will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Oak Park City Cemetery at 2:00PM with Reverend Wayne Fields officiating. Interment will follow.

Barbara, So sorry to hear of John's passing. Rusti thought he was a "Cool Dude" with his many adventures. May you all find comfort in the happy memories you have shared. God bless you.
