Mr. Colin H. “Fish” Fountain, age 85, of Mt. Vernon died late Saturday night, June 30, 2019 at Memorial Health of Savannah after an extended illness. Colin was a native and lifelong resident of Montgomery County, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon.
Colin is preceded in death by his father, C. Hendrix Fountain; his mother, Alvena Connell; two brothers, Tom and Alfred Fountain; and three sisters, Estelle Ussery, JoAnn Coleman, and Bettie Jean McCorkel.
Colin is survived by his stepbrother, Donnie Fountain; and his stepsister, Diana Myers.
Memorial Services for Mr. Colin H. “Fish” Fountain will be held Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Karl Hay and Gary Braddy officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at the cemetery before the service.
