Roy Lee (Bill) Hall, 74, of Glenwood Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019, following a brief illness.

 

Bill was born on November 7, 1944 to Lushie and Lizzy Hall and was the youngest of seven children. After the passing of his parents, Bill was raised by his brother, William J. Hall (Dub) and his family. He attended the Wheeler/ Montgomery Community Service Center for many years. He was also a very active member of the Men’s Prayer Breakfast in Glenwood, Ga.

 

“Oh How I Love Jesus” was a favorite song of Bill’s and it could be said it was the theme of his life. Bill was a long time dedicated member of Stuckey Baptist Church. He loved his church and he loved serving the Lord.

 

Bill was a sweet, quiet, and gentle soul and was an inspiration to all who met him and he truly exhibited the love of Christ in his life.

 

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Lushie and Lizzy Hall; Brothers and Sisters Gladys Adams, Margaret Ashley, William J. Hall (Dub), Etta Ashley, and Sam Hall.

 

Bill is survived by one sister, Maxine Towns of Alamo; Like Sisters and brother nieces and Nephew Kathy Morris (David) of Glenwood, Ga; William Hall (Theresa) of Valdosta, Ga; Donna Horton (Jeff) of Glenwood, Ga. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

 

The family will receive visitors at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service in Glenwood, Ga on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm.

 

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Stuckey Baptist Church on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:00am with Reverend Glen Waters officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

My sincere offer condolences to the family. At John 11:11, the Bible likens death to a peaceful sleep.​ I truly hope that scripture can provide some peace at this time.
