Mr. Allen Bowden, age 55, of Vidalia died Wednesday December 5, 2018 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  He was a native of Washington D.C. and had resided in Vidalia for the past 20 years.

 

Mr. Bowden was a graduate of Montgomery County High School in 1981 and was a Eagle Scout.  He later graduated from Georgia Tech in 1989 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He worked in Information Technology. He was a member of First Methodist Church of Mt. Vernon and recently attended Calvary on Aimwell.

 

Allen is survived by his mother and step-father, Kathryn and Maurice Bauer of Vidalia; his brother, John Morrison of Mount Vernon; and his sister, Anna Tipton of Vidalia.

 

Memorial Services for Mr. Allen Bowden will be held Tuesday December 11, 2018 at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel at 2:00 PM with Reverend Wayne Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
