Loriana "Scooter" Schaeffer, age 50, of Vidalia, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee after an extended illness. She was born in Iceland, but called many places home over the years. Living most of her life in Tennessee. She was a wife, mother, sister and worked in the health care field for many years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George D. Ricketson Jr. and Shirley Archibari Ricketson, and her brother George D. Ricketson III.

Lori is survived by Thomas Woodward of Sevierville, Tennessee. Her three sons, Brent Scaeffer of Sevierville, Tennessee; Jordan McCallie of Johnson City, Tennessee; and Chris Schaeffer of Knoxville, Tennessee. Two Brothers, Donald Ricketson of Vidalia, Georgia; and Daniel Ricketson of Sweetwater, Tennessee. Two Sisters, Christina Ricketson of Vidalia, Georgia; and Jeanette Bivens of Sweetwater, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Loriana “Scooter” Schaeffer will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 4:30 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Michael Plowman officiating.  The family will receive friends for visitation at Loudon Funeral Home in Tennessee on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a service at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will also be held at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

The family will gather in Vidalia at 106 Serenity Road.

Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
