Mr. Robert Lewis Athearn, age 64, of Oak Park died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native of Fort Lauderdale living most of his life in Toombs County, residing in Oak Park the last two years. Robert was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from carpentry. He was Baptist by Faith.
Mr. Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Bill Athearn; and his parents, James and Ella Athearn.
Robert is survived by one daughter, Katie Finch of Lyons; one brother, Jimmy Athearn of Texas; four sisters, Susan Boatright (Richard) of Lyons, and Kathy Williamson (Joe) of McCallister Oklahoma, Louise Smith of Odum, and Vicky Hill of Florida; and two grandchildren, Jackson and Adeline Finch of Lyons. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held privately at a later date.
