Mr. Donnie Lee “Bud” Adams, age 70, of Glenwood died Monday afternoon August 14, 2017 at the V.A. Hospital of Dublin after an extended illness. Bud was a native and lifelong resident of Glenwood and was a retired Staking Engineer with REA with 43 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and recipient of the Bronze Star medal for outstanding performance above and beyond regular duties in Vietnam. He was a member of the Stuckey Fire Dept. and member and deacon of Stuckey Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Manning and Ruby Mercer Adams; his sister, Annie Ruth Powell; his brother, Fred Thomas Adams; and his wife, Rhonda Adams.

He is survived by his brother, Willie A. “Jack” (Mildred) Adams of Brunswick; his daughter, Melondy (Craig) Butler of Glenwood; his sisters, Geneva (Gene) Graham of Glenwood, Patsy Adams of Glenwood, Hazel (Charles) Nelms of Glenwood, and Shirley (Roy) Hilliard of Eastman; his sister-in-law, Lynette Couey Adams of Dublin; and his grandchildren, Taylor Butler, Ty Butler, and Trent Butler, all of Glenwood.

Funeral services for Donnie Lee “Bud” Adams will be held Wednesday August 16, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Stuckey Baptist Church with Reverend B.L. Horne, Reverend Randall Gibbs, and Reverend Glenn Waters officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at Stuckey Baptist Church on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service. Interment will follow.

Stewart-Rosier Funeral Glenwood Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
