Ms. Dorothy Sue Hooks, age 71, of Glenwood died Monday July 17, 2017, at her residence after a brief illness. Sue was a native of Georgia and returned to Glenwood several years ago after spending many years on the west coast in California and Washington. Sue was Baptist by Faith.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, the late Jonathan Neal Hooks and Katie Lee Rainey Hooks; her brothers, Henry Hooks, Belvon Hooks, Marion Hooks, Bailey Hooks, Charles Hooks, and Myles Hooks; and her sisters, Alice Hooks Johnson and Mae Hooks McCrackin.
Sue is survived by her sister, Pearl Hooks Campbell, of Issaquah, Washington; four sister-in-laws, Pearl Hooks( Marion), Melba Hooks (Bailey), Glenda Hooks (Charles), and Pat Hooks (Myles); several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
At Dorothy’s request, no service will be held.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Glenwood Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
