Mrs. Martha Poole, age 71, of Glenwood died Sunday May 14, 2017, at her residence after an extended illness. Martha was a native of Soperton, living most of her life in Wheeler County. Martha was a homemaker and attended Glenwood Church of God.

Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Poole.

Martha is survived by five sons, Kenneth Poole (Nancy) of Alamo; Chris Poole (Miechelle) of Summerville SC; Stacy Poole (Michelle) of Stuckey; Joseph Poole and Skipper Poole (Miranda) both of Glenwood; her daughter, Genia Poole of Glenwood; two brothers, Larry Jackson of Soperton, and Mickey Jackson of Dublin; and five sisters, Trellis Manning of Cocoa Beach Florida, Beverly Smith of Oak Park; Tracey Rogers of Mt. Vernon; Pam Jackson of Vidalia; and Elizabeth Hester of Vidalia. 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Poole will be held Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Glenwood Church of God with Reverend Ronnie Saxon officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday May 15, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel.
