Mrs. Sue Nell O’Conner Raulerson, age 81, of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday afternoon, February 28, 2017, in Ellenwood, Georgia after a brief illness. Mrs. Raulerson was a native of Montgomery County, where she lived most of her life. She was a retired case manager with Concerted Services and a member of Lotts Creek Church of God.

Mrs. Raulerson is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Elsie O’Conner; her husband, Barney Raulerson; one brother, Harry O’Conner; one sister, Shelby Jean Fields; and two daughters, Casey Raulerson and Sherry Cates.

Mrs. Raulerson is survived by her two daughters, Sonya Durden (Jeff) of Soperton, and Patsy Clark (Tommy) of Alamo; two brothers, Edward O’Conner (Linda) of Canton, and Roy O’Conner (Linda) of Ellenwood; and one sister, Patricia Savage (Bobby) of Byron. Two Grandchildren, Michael and David Durden, and seven step-grandchildren, Alicia Hartley, Courtney Palma, Blake Clark, Clarissa Jenkins, Whitney Griffin, Beth Cates, and Caylin Cates also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Nell O’Conner Raulerson will be held Friday March 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel, with Reverend Ronnie Branham, Reverend Jerry Newell, and Edward O’Conner officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Morris Brantley officiating. The family will receive friends at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel Thursday March 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

The family will assemble at the residence of Edward O’Conner, 203 West Church Street, Mount Vernon.

Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sue Nell's friends and family. She was a sweet, kind and loving lady, which we all loved. She will be greatly missed. She was one of my mama's close cousins and best friends. I loved hearing them talk about the good ole days.
