Mrs. Maudell White, age 84, of Mt. Vernon died late Wednesday night, November 30, 2016, at Memorial Health of Savannah after a sudden illness.
Mrs. White was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. She was a retired garment industry supervisor. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon, where she served as class secretary for Fidelis Sunday School Class for over 20 years.
Mrs. White is survived by one son, William Walter White (Jackie) of Lyons; one daughter, Willene Calhoun (Gil) of Tarrytown; one sister, Barbara Clark of Mt. Vernon; one granddaughter, Jennifer Corner (Chad) of Tarrytown; one grandson Chris Calhoun (Denise) of Lyons; and four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Riley Corner, and Jace and Eli Calhoun. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Maudell White will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Karl Hay officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends the day of the funeral from 1:00 until time of the service.

We are truly saddened to hear about Mrs. Maudell's passing. We loved her dearly and considered her as family. She was such a classy lady and will definitely be missed. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
