Mrs. Laura Padgett, age 73, of Glenwood died early Thursday morning, May 5, 2016 at Glenwood Healthcare after an extended illness. Mrs. Padgett was a native and lifelong resident of Wheeler County and was a member of Snow Hill Community Church.

Mrs. Padgett is survived by one son, Randall Johnson of Glenwood; one daughter, Lynthia Johnson of Glenwood; two brothers, Elmas Foskey of Glenwood and Billy Foskey of Vidalia; two sisters, Catherine Brown of Glenwood and Betty Jean Yawn of Glenwood; three grandsons, Stacy Smallpiece of Mount Vernon, David Lanum of Glenwood, and Dylan Lanum of Glenwood; and two stepdaughters, Amy Osborne of Alston, and Tina Burgess of Ludowici.

Memorial services for Mrs. Laura Padgett will be held Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2016, at 3:00 pm at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel with Reverend W. R. Connell officiating. A private interment will follow at Snow Hill Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel .
