Mr. Walton Mosley, age 85, of Cobbtown, Georgia died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after a short illness.

Mr. Mosley was native of Lyons, Toombs County, Georgia, living most of his life in Lyons and Cobbtown, Georgia. He was a retired pharmacist. Mr. Mosley also served in the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Collins First Baptist Church.

Mr. Mosley is preceded in death by his parents, Austus and Lurline Mosley; his brother, Austus “Aus” L. Mosley, Jr.; and his sister, Laleah Henderson.

Mr. Mosley is survived by his wife of 46 years Lena Mosley of Cobbtown.

Funeral services for Mr. Walton Mosley will be Monday, March 7, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Carl Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow at the Lyons City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 until the hour of service.

Wendell was always kind and generous to my family and me. I owe much of my reading skills to his magazine stand with its many comic books. God bless him.
