Mr. Jerry Screws, age 69, of Dublin died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Medical Center of Central Georgia after a brief illness. He was a native of Glenwood, living in Dublin for the past 20 years.

Mr. Screws was a dry wall installer for Right Way Drywaller of Macon. He served in the United States Army with two tours in Vietnam. He was Baptist by faith.

Mr. Screws was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clarence and Mary Lauvernia Screws.

Mr. Screws is survived by his wife, Barbara Screws of Dublin; daughter, Brandy Fields of Norfolk, Virginia; three brothers, Virgil Screws of Deland, Florida, Robert Screws and wife Julie of Lyons, and Ronnie Screws and wife Earlene of Glenwood; three sisters, Kay Avery of Dublin, Sandy Burroughs of Oswego, New York, and Mabre Johnson of Dublin; uncle, Ken Alligood and wife Louise of Waco, Texas; and two grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Memorial services for Mr. Jerry Screws will be Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at 11:00 am at Stewart Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel with Reverend W. R. Connell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
