Mr. William Warren Sharpe, age 67, of Mt. Vernon died Friday morning, October 30, 2015 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after an extended illness.

Mr. Sharpe was a native and lifelong resident of Montgomery County. He was a retired carpenter. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener and was Presbyterian by faith.

Mr. Sharpe is survived by his three daughters, Wendy (and husband Glen) O’Neal, Shea (and husband Michael) Floyd, and Stacie (and husband Jason) Randolph, all of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Melba Day and Carlene McBride, both of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren Ryan, Cierra, Kaleb, Trey, Daniel, Kaylee, Ansleigh, and Brantley Grace; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. William Warren Sharpe will be held Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Ray Woods officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

so sorry for your loss. william was my friend and my buddy.he will surely be missed by many.i will never forget you my friend. or the way we picked on each other. those are now treasured memories for me my friend. i will miss you but i will never forget you. i am so glad to have known you and so glad we were friends. rest in peasce my friend.

We are so sorry for your loss,William was a great guy. I will never forget the good times he and I had the last thirty years. I will never be able to replace him as friend nor the memories at mama's country kitchen during deer season . Im am also so thankful for the home that William an Junior built for us we have always been so proud of it! May God bless all of the Sharpe family ,you are in our thoughts and prayers. I AM SO SORRY, HE WAS MY BEST FRIEND, AND MY COUSIN. WE SHARED MANY DAYS TOGETHER FISHING, HUNTING AND GARDENING. I WILL MISS HIM SO MUCH. I LOVED HIM LIKE MY BROTHER. I PRAY FOR THE FAMILY FOR GOD TO GIVE THEM PEACE.
