Mr. James C. “Buddy” Bowen, Jr., age 72, of Missouri, died Thursday, September 10, 2015, after an extended illness.
Mr. Bowen was a native of Jonesboro, Georgia, residing in Missouri for one year. He was a retired bus driver and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was Baptist by faith.
Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Kay Bowen, his parents, James and Waldean Bowen and his brother, Charles D. (Modesta “Tootsie”) Adamson.
Mr. Bowen is survived by three sons, James Rory (Chrissy) Bowen, Jeffery Kyle (Kelley) Bowen, and Shane Morrison (Stacey) Bowen; three brothers, Michael Steve Bowen, Robert Bowen, and Roy D. Adamson; three sisters, Melba (Truett) Robertson, Sara Jane Adamson, and Martha G. Strickland; brother-in-law, Mac (Roberta) Morrison; two grandchildren, Lilia and Noah; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. James C. “Buddy” Bowen, Jr., will be held Monday, September 14, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel with Reverend Kevin Morrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Glenwood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel on Monday morning from 9:00 – 11:00.
