Mr. Thomas L. Hill, of Ailey, died August 3, 2014,  at his residence after a brief illness.  

Thomas retired from the United States Navy. He previously worked at the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office and most recently was employed with Homeland Security/Immigration in Gainesville, Ga.

Thomas Hill is survived by his wife Janet Hill; step-son Billy Sells and wife Donna; step-daughter Cassandra Cartwright and husband Jason; ten step-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, two brothers, and two sisters. Four nephews and one niece also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas L. Hill will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at 2 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Sharon Wommack and Miguel Davis officiating. The family will gather in the chapel at 1 PM on the day of the funeral.  Interment will follow in the Moseley Cemetery on Old River Road south of Uvalda. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon from 2-4 and Tuesday evening from 6-8.
