Nell Rowland, age 68, of Oak Park died early Monday morning August 4, 2014, at her residence after a brief illness.

Nell is a native of Melbourne, Florida, and resided in Oak Park for the past 41 years. She was a homemaker and was Baptist by Faith.

Mrs. Rowland is preceded in death by her husband J.W. Rowland in 2006; her son Ricky Rowland in 1979; and her great grandson Logan Dukes in 2012.

Nell is survived by her husband James “Chief” Bouttier; her daughter Wanda Coursey and husband George of Lyons; her brother, Hershal Collins of Oak Park; her sister Janice Davis of Augusta; two granddaughters Samantha Ricketson and Erica Fields both of Oak Park; four great-grandchildren James, Evan, Aurora, and Bailey.

The funeral services for Mrs. Nell Rowland will be held Wednesday August 6, 2014, at 11 AM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Owen Waters and Reverend Robbie Rosier officiating. Interment will follow in the Boiling Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
