Mrs. Sallie Mae Whitaker Smith, age 71, of Vidalia, died early Tuesday morning July 15, 2014, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Sallie Mae was a native and lifelong resident of Vidalia and Montgomery County. She was a retired from Meadows Regional Medical Center. She was holiness by faith.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son Timothy Whitaker and wife Christie of Daufuski Island, South Carolina; three brothers Ronnie Whitaker of Ailey, Gene Whitaker of Tarrytown, and Tony Whitaker of Mount Vernon; her sister Vera King of Ailey; three grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Sallie Mae Whitaker Smith will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Stewart Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Greg Altizer officiating.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
