Mrs. Sally Maria Davis, age 80 of Glenwood passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 at Glenwood Healthcare in Glenwood following a brief illness.

Mrs. Davis was born in Milan to the late Robert and Sally Pearson Yawn. Mrs. Davis lived in Glenwood before moving to Savannah. She worked as an LPN at the Telfair Hospital, Wheeler County Hospital, as well as in the office of Dr. Odell Still and Dr. L.C. McRae. She returned to Glenwood about one year ago when her health declined and was residing at Glenwood Healthcare where she lived until her death.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Davis. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Reverend Steve Meguiar of Savannah; two grandchildren, Mark Meguiar and Leah Meguiar of Savannah; three great grandchildren, Patrick, Noah and Zara; a special friend, Patsy Adams of Glenwood; one sister, Corene Melvin of Macon; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sally Maria Davis will be held at 2 pm Friday, August 24, 2012 in the Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service chapel of Glenwood with Reverend Steve Meguiar, Reverend Darrell Hand and Reverend Daniel Sayles officiating. Burial will follow in the Edge Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until service time on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, P.O. Box 2277, Vidalia, GA, 30475.
