Mr. Cecil Carroll Warren, Age 66, of Lyons died Monday, May 20, 2019 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after a brief illness.

 

Mr. Warren was a native of Cairo, GA and had lived in Toombs County for the past 25 years. He was a retired commercial truck driver. His passion was helping and serving the congregation at Cornerstone Church of Lyons where he was a member.

 

Mr. Warren is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Karwoski Warren and his son, Michael Warren.

 

Cecil is survived by five sons; Joshua Warren of Lyons, Christopher Warren (ASHLEY) OF Soperton, Cecil Warren III (Joyce) of Albany, Steven Warren (Tina) of Columbus Mississippi and Robert Warren of Houston TX; two brothers, Chesley Warren of Cairo, and Raymond Warren of Cairo; and his fiancé, Artelia “Teal” McIlwain of Lyons. Ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Carroll Warren will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Cornerstone Church of Lyons with Reverend Charles Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Corner Stone Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

My thoughts are with the family. I didn’t personally know Cecil, but he sounds like he was a good person and I wish I could have known him. I hope you can find comfort where I too have found comfort in the past, 2 Cor. 1:4, “Who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God”.
