Mrs. Dorothy Jean Denmark, age 77 of Higgston, died Tuesday May 14, 2019 at Meadows Health of Vidalia after an extended illness.

 

Dorothy was a native of Donaldsonville, GA, and lived many years in Apopka, Fl. She lived in Montgomery County for the past 40 years and retired as a seamstress. She loved sewing and baking; and was a member of the First Assembly of God of Vidalia.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Denmark; and two sons, Alton Eugene Denmark and James Denmark.

 

She is survived by one son, Richard Denmark (Linda) of Higgston; one daughter, Caritia Birkheimer of Higgston; one brother, Michael White (Christa) of Apopka, FL; and two sisters, Murial Dunn of Apopka, FL and Mary Mauer of Memphis TN. Three grandchildren, Krysta Lechtenberg of Omaha, NE, Michael Davis of Vidalia, and Nikki Birkheimer of Higgston; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe Lechtenberg, Jeremy Davis, and Jarrett Davis also survive.

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Jean Denmark will be held Saturday May 18, 2019 at 11:00AM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Pastor Sherry Damron officiating. Interment will follow at Hardens Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
