Mrs. Grace Thigpen Gregory, age 73, of Vidalia died Saturday morning March 10, 2018 at Meadows Health of Vidalia after an extended illness.

Mrs. Gregory was a native of Montgomery County, she lived in Glenwood for many years and had resided in Vidalia for the past 25 years.  She was a homemaker and was a member of Gray’s Landing Country Club. She was Christian by Faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gregory; her parents, Salem and Lula Thigpen; two sons, Junior Vick and Roy Gene Vick.

Grace is survived by her son James Gregory of Vidalia; her daughter, Renae (Robert) Landon of Vidalia; two brothers, Robert Thigpen of Claxton and Billy Thigpen of Glenwood; four sisters, Kathleen Poole of Newton, Mae Montford of Glenwood, Earline Prickett of Soperton and Betty Bridges of Glenwood; nine grandchildren, Rhett, Matt, Nicki, Kathleen, Dewayne, Brandon, James Jr., Amber and Elizabeth; and her daughter-in-law Nancy Vick.  Many other nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

Funeral Services for Grace Thigpen Gregory will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend W.R. Connell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

Flowers are accepted or donations to assist with burial costs can be made to the funeral home.
