Mrs. Willie J. “Barbara” Butler, age 77, of Cedar Crossing, died Thursday afternoon, August 20, 2020 at Meadows Regional Health of Vidalia after an extended illness. Barbara was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County, was a homemaker and was also a foster parent to many children. Mrs. Butler was a member of the Cedar Crossing Church of God.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Butler and one son, Roy Rodney Butler.

Barbara is survived by three sons, Paul “Renee” Butler of Cedar Crossing, Ronnie “Cindy” Butler of Cedar Crossing, Kenny Butler of Cedar Crossing; two daughters, Brenda Jackson of Cedar Crossing, Dianne Butler of Cedar Crossing; two brothers, David Johnson of Cedar Crossing, Lewis Grady of Lyons; six sisters, Mary Ann Beckworth of Lyons, Rosie Cason of Lyons, Earleen Edge of Austin, Betty Johnson of Cedar Crossing, Willadeen Beana of Lyons, and Agnes Sanders of Metter.  Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Willie J. “Barbara” Butler will be held
August 23, 2020 at 4:30 PM at Black Creek Cemetery near Pembroke with Pastor Steven Toole and Rev. Bobby Toole officiating.  Interment will follow.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel from 11:00AM until 2:00 PM.
