Mrs. Edna E. Rider, age 85, of Harold Sasser Road in Lyons, died Tuesday morning April 2, 2019 at her residence after a brief illness.

Edna was a native of Toombs County, and resided in Monroe and Bartow County for some 20 years before returning to Lyons in 1996.  She was a retired seamstress and was Baptist by Faith.

Edna is survived by three daughters; Marilyn Darden (Billy) of Lyons, Wanda Batay of Lyons, and Brenda Brantley of Vidalia; two sons, Roger Dismuke of Lyons, and Johnny L. Dismuke of Kibbee; and one brother, John Moye Jr. of Wadley. Six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edna E. Rider will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel at 1:00 PM with Reverend Bobby Toole officiating. Interment will follow at Sharpe Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
