Ms. Barbara Katherine "Bobbi" Goble, age 85 of Mt. Vernon, Georgia, sailed off into the sunset on December 29, 2018, while in Lakeland, Florida, to meet Jesus, the Lighthouse, on a beautiful shore.
She was born August 28, 1933 in Lenoir, North Carolina, and is preceded in death by her grandparents, W.D. (Will) and Lou Goble, and Robert Lee and Mary Katherine Benfield; father Vance A. Goble and mother Johnsie Goble; sister, Billie Sue Rufty; brothers, Arthur (Bud) Goble and Vance A. Goble Jr.; and nephews, Frederick Goble and Joseph Gibbons.
Bobbi is survived by her brothers, Douglas C. Goble (Nancy) of Lakeland, Florida and William Lee Goble (Dottie) of Lenoir, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Anne Goble of Lakeland, Florida and Jane Goble of Winter Garden, Florida; thirteen nieces and nephews, eleven great nieces and nephews; and four great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 9:30 a.m. at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Services Vidalia Chapel, 1722 Mount Vernon Road, Vidalia, Georgia. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Karl Hay officiating. Private entombment to follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
