Mr. Doyle Foskey, age 64, of Vidalia died Saturday afternoon April 8, 2017 at his residence after an extended illness.  Doyle was a native and lifelong resident of Toombs County.  He was a carpenter and Baptist by Faith.

Mr. Foskey is preceded in death by his daughter, Terrie Foskey in 1996; his parents, Allen and Lorine Foskey; his brother, Jeff Foskey; and his sister Pam Palmer.

Doyle is survived by his wife, June Foskey of Vidalia; his daughter, Kerrie Foskey Harvey of Uvalda; three brothers, Vernon Foskey (Rose Anne) of Uvalda, Fred Foskey (Jane) of Vidalia and Greg Foskey (Weada) of Vidalia; six sisters, Glenda Mosley of Vidalia, Patricia Oliver (Hoke) of Vidalia, Joy Smith (Lewis) of Brunswick, Opal Dean Fowler (Durwood) of Lyons, Phyllis Boutwell of Texas, and Gail Morgan (Steve) of Vidalia; two grandsons, Trevor Grimes of Vidalia and Scottie Sanders of Uvalda; his granddaughter, Kaylee Joyner of Uvalda; his great-grandson, Colton Grimes of Vidalia; and his sister in law, Paula Foskey of Vidalia.  
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Doyle Foskey will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at 11:00 am at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Reverend Keith Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
