Mr. Danny Leister, age 53, of Lyons died Monday afternoon, August 22, 2016, at Jeff Davis County Hospital after a sudden illness.  

Mr. Leister was a native of Woodbine, Maryland, living in Lyons for past 3 ½ years. He was a farmer and Pentecostal by faith.

Danny is survived by his wife, Janell Leister of Lyons; two sons, Jamie Sweitzer of Westminster, MD, and Bo Leister of Westminster, MD; one daughter, Kelly Whitsell of Boonsboro, MD; one stepson, Eric Cook of Lyons; his mother, Darlene Cole of Woodbine, MD; one brother, Joe Leister of Woodbine, MD; one sister, Diane Wachter of Woodbine, MD; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Mr. Danny Leister will be held Friday, August 26, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel with Evangelist Karen Harrison officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Crossing Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
