Mrs. Virginia Norris Stewart, age 86, died early Thursday morning, September 10, 2015, at Meadows Park Health and Rehab after an extended illness. Mrs. Stewart was a native of Americus and lived in Vidalia since 1952. She was a commercial artist for Piggly Wiggly Southern as well as an avid tennis player and golfer and a seasoned world traveler. She has been a member of First United Methodist Church of Vidalia since 1952, serving on several committees over the years.

Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband, C. F. Stewart, Sr., in 1986.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her nephew, Daniel W. Jones, Sr., of Foley, Alabama, and her great-nephew, Daniel W. Jones, Jr., of Vidalia.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Norris Stewart will be Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia with Reverend David Blalock officiating. There will be no visitation.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to SOAPS or your local Humane Society.
