Mr. Hugh Wilton Thomas, age 73, of Atlanta died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Grady Memorial Hospital of Atlanta after a brief illness.  

Mr. Thomas was a native of Vidalia and had resided most of his life in Atlanta.  He was a lifelong musician and a member of Gentle Spirit Christian Church in Decatur.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Wilton Thomas; and his mother, Yavonne Hamilton Thomas.

Hugh is survived by his brother, Joel Thomas and wife Sandi of Vidalia; and his sister, Opal Phillips of Vidalia.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Hugh Wilton Thomas will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2 PM at Pinecrest Cemetery with Reverend Robert Green officiating.  Interment will follow.  The family will receive friends at the graveside from 1:30 until the hour of the service.
