Mr. Herbert Dean Boyd, age 71, of Vidalia died late Wednesday night
April 2, 2014 at Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia after a sudden illness.

Mr. Boyd was a Native of Emanuel County and lived most of his life in Vidalia.  He was a retired truck driver and Church of God by faith.

Herbert is preceded in death by his son, Michael Anthony in 1987.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Boyd of Vidalia; two sons, Randall Dean Boyd of Lyons and Brian Keith Boyd of North Augusta SC; and two grandchildren, Michael Keith Boyd and Kassidy Tomae, both of North Augusta.

Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Dean Boyd will be held Friday, April 4, 2014, at 3:00 PM at the Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Dan Tomberlin officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.

The family will gather at the residence of his sister-in-law Faye at 1813B Aimwell Blvd of Vidalia.
