Mr. Myron “Butch” Johnson, age 68, of Lyons, died early Wednesday morning, December 18, 2013 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia after a brief illness.

Mr. Johnson was a native of New York but had lived in Lyons for the past 25 years. He was Baptist by faith.

He was preceded in death by his sister Lois Johnson Hall.

Butch is survived by his wife, Geraldine Johnson of Lyons, three children, Jimmy Cook of Lyons, Tommy  Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, and Johnnie Johnson of Greenville, SC; six grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Myron “Butch” Johnson will be held Friday, December 20,2013 at 2:00 PM at Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Reverend David Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Walker Cemetery near Alston. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon at the funeral home from 1-2 PM.
