Mrs. Judy Ann Taylor, age 58, of Mt. Vernon died Saturday afternoon October 12, 2013 at St. Joseph Candler Hospital of Savannah after an extended illness.  

Mrs. Taylor was a native of Glenwood and had resided in Mt. Vernon for the past 23 years.  She was a retired seamstress and Baptist by faith.

She Is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Douglas Taylor in 1993; her brother, Ricky Lee NeeSmith and her sister Mildred White.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son, Jamie Taylor of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Allison Edwards of Vidalia and Angie Taylor of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Debbie Copeland of Mt. Vernon; and five grandchildren, Chance, Samantha, Haley, Amber and Samuel.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Judy Ann Taylor will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from the Ronnie L. Stewart Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel at 2:00 PM with Reverend W.R. Connell officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday evening.
