Mr. Norman “Bruce” Speegle, age 79, of Glenwood died Wednesday evening March 27, 2013 at Community Hospice of Vidalia after a brief illness.  

Mr. Speegle was a native of Cullman Alabama and had lived in Glenwood for the past 4 and one half years.  He was an Air force Veteran, a member ofthe American Legion in Alamo, a retired Radio Technician from Fort Gordon GA, a member of the Glenwood Men’s Prayer Breakfast and a member of Stuckey Baptist Church.

Mr. Speegle is survived by his wife, Christine Scarboro Speegle of Glenwood; two sons, Michael B. Speegle and wife Gina of Evans, GA and Richard Speegle of Tybee Island; two daughters, Valorie Speegle Snell and husband John of Black Mountain NC and Melonie Speegle McKie and husband Ron of Camden, South Carolina; three step-daughters, Debora Lafavor of Glenwood, Annette Scarboro of Lyons and Ruth Brown and husband Eric of Hanahan SC; one sister, Elaine Whatley and husband Ron of Magula AL; seventeen grandchildren, Ashton Speegle, Brittany Speegle, Jason Speegle, Leandra Speegle, Lauren Speegle, Joshua Smith, Martha Snell, Nathan Snell, Ron McKie Jr., Melissa McKie, Tonya Coelho, Ebony King, T.J. Sauter, Jasmine Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Erica Brown and Kinzi Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Zachery Speegle, Hudson Speegle, Brittany Coelho and Rylee Coelho.  Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial Services for Mr. Norman “Bruce” Speegle will be held Saturday April 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Stuckey Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Dupree, Reverend Robby Smith, Reverend B.L. Horne and Reverend Chuck Morgan Officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Church for lunch and visitation beginning at 11:00 AM until the hour of the service.
