Mr. John Phillip “Phil” Busby Jr, age 61, of Vidalia, died Wednesday afternoon April 10, 2019 after a sudden illness. Phil was a native of Buena Vista, living in Vidalia the past 12 years. Phil graduated from Georgia Southwestern College in Americus with a bachelor’s degree in business. He last worked for Wal-Mart and was Baptist by Faith.

 

Phil is survived by two sisters, Julie C. Busby of Vidalia, and Rose Patience Gebauer of Vienna Austria; and one niece, Kalee Barbis of Nashville TN. Several cousins also survive.


Memorial services for Mr. John Phillip “Phil” Busby Jr. will be held Sunday April 14, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Leon Stalls officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 pm until the hour of the service.
 

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklinia Playhouse, 3001 East 1st Street, Vidalia, GA 30474, or SOAPS, Po Box 210, Vidalia, GA 30475.

Julie and Patience,
I am so sorry for your loss. Phil was such a sweet man and he will be missed. I went to school with Elizabeth and Phil and I always enjoyed being around them. Prayers for your family!
