I first met John in 1970. He was the Group Leader in Technical Publications at Pratt & Whitney. I was working as a Blueprint Machine Operator. John would bring in reports & proposals to our area for copies to be sent out to review. After about 6 months John asked if I would be interested in a position working for him in Tech Pubs, which I jumped at. Little did I know that John would become my mentor during our long history at P&W and a dear friend for much longer. Those who knew John at work, really everybody knew John, he was much loved. I still have people asked me about him 20 years after he retired. I knew that his health was not the best these last few years, but what never failed him was his sense of humor. John may be gone from this earth but I will always smile whenever I think of this truly kind man. May he rest in peace.
