Mr. John Cash Sr., age 83, of Mt. Vernon died Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Community Hospice of Vidalia after an extended illness. Mr. Cash was a native of Bremen Georgia living most of his life in Tampa Florida for 45 years and had resided in Mt. Vernon since 2009. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy where he served during the Korean Conflict, member of Bayshore Baptist Church in Tampa where he served as a deacon for many years, and a member of Sertoma Club of Tampa.

Mr. Cash is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Cash of Mt. Vernon; his son, John Cash Jr.(Stacie) of Tampa Florida; his daughter, Sherri Wallace (Don) of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Bud Cash of Tampa Florida, Coy Cash of Bremen, and Render Cash of Jasper; and three grandchildren, Betsy Wallace, James Wallace and Sara Cash, and three great grandchildren; Harper, Elliot and Farrah.

A memorial service for Mr. John Cash will be held Saturday, May 13 2017, at 2:00PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel with Reverend Karl Hay officiating. The family will receive friends at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel from 1:00PM until the hour of the service.

The family request no flowers.  In lieu of the flowers donations in honor of Mr. Cash may be made to Community Hospice at PO box 2277 Vidalia, GA 30475
