Some of my fondest childhood memories are the times I spent at the Herman Collins home playing with all those children (I was an only child and totally amazed). I was introduced to the "Grand Ole' Opry" on Sat. nights played on a big radio. I still enjoy that style music and think about the Collins family when I hear Mama Maybelle sing as I'm cruising down the highway.

My deepest sympathy to Dale's family and especially to his surviving siblings.

So sad to hear of Dale's passing at such a young age. Our Aunt Bobbie had spoken fondly about all of her brothers and sisters, and our heart goes out to her at this sad time. May peace be with all of you and may the sun shine brightly and heal the hole in your hearts.
Sincerely, Peggy (niece of Bobbie McCoy)

I am so sad to hear of Dale's passing. No doubt, Dale was a member of my second family. Some of the happiest days of my youth were spent at the Collins house with Dianne and her precious mother and siblings. Truly they were the happiest family that I've ever known, and I was thrilled to go there. If I were to write a book, this sweet family would play main characters in my story. I adored Mrs. Mary Honor and loved her like a mother . I was always in awe of the love and happiness that she exudes to her family and all of the "adopted" children such as I who were regular visitors. I know that Dale was blessed and I know that he knew love in abundance. Fly high, Dale, I love you! Your sister Linda Bell! Love and prayers to All of your precious family.

To all of Dale's family: It is so hard when one I have known for such a long time passes. Dale was my sister, Faye's age and always a part of life. Faye often saw him when they both lived in Jacksonville. The Collins family has always been so precious to us especially Mrs. Mary Honor. You all love and comfort each other. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
