Mrs. Doris K. Adams, age 80, of Glenwood died Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Meadows Regional Medical Center of Vidalia after an extended illness. Mrs. Adams, the daughter of late Bill Kight and Gertrude Prather Kight, was born September 25, 1936, in Johnson County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. She was a native of Kite, Georgia, living most of her life in Glenwood, Georgia. She loved children dearly and spent many years working in the Glenwood Daycare and serving in the Glenwood First Baptist nursery.

Mrs. Doris Adams is survived by her husband, Bennie Adams Sr of Glenwood, and their children, Linda Fortner, Buddy (Lydia) Adams of Mt. Vernon, Wanda Paulk, Bennie Adams Jr, and Aaron (Amy) Adams of Glenwood. Survivors also include two sisters, Juanita Bush and Tina (Wayne) Harper, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Doris Adams will be held Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Glenwood with Reverend Kevin Hammons and Will Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, November 26, at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Glenwood Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
