Mrs. Bernice Kight, age 91, of Lyons died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at her daughters residence in Brooklet after an extended illness.

Bernice was a native and lifelong resident of Lyons. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pendleton Creek Community Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Colon C. Kight and her four sons: Tim Kight, Jerry Kight, Charles Kight, and Ted Kight.

Mrs. Kight is survived by her son, Henry Kight and wife Lisa of Lyons; five daughters Linda Parrish of Vidalia, Janice Parrish of Vidalia, Josephine Upright of Brooklet, Lori Snyder of Brunswick, and Teresa Byrd and her husband Brian of Lyons; one brother Milford Mosley of Brunswick; three sisters Molly Morris of Brunswick, Eva Lett of St. Augustine, and Joyce Crapps of Pelion, South Carolina; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Kight will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service with Pastor Gary Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for the funeral expenses be made to Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel.

Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service of Lyons is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
