Mr. Arthur Smith Jr., age 71, of Vidalia died early Thursday morning December 14, 2017 at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center of Dublin after a brief illness. Mr. Arthur had lived in Vidalia for the past 12 years and was a retired printer. He was employed by Alexander Brothers Heating and Air since 2008. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. Mr. Arthur was also Christian by Faith.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Qualia and granddaughter, Lily Kathleen Qualia, who both lost their lives in a mobile home fire in Savannah on October 18, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Laura Smith of Vidalia; his daughter, Kathleen Brooks (Tommy) of Savannah; his brother, Frank Smith of Kansas; his sister, Bernadette Green of Texas; and five grandchildren, Kaelyn Wood, James Stokes, Spence Qualia, Elizabeth Brooks, and Julia Brooks.
No services are scheduled at this time.
